Sustainable Furniture for Public Spaces: Lund Train Station – The Video!
Lund Central Railway Station (Sweden) gets a make-over with the introduction of sustainable furniture by Green Furniture Sweden.
Lund Central Station is a relatively small building dated back to 1850s. The seamless design of the Nova series wooden benches, designed by Johan Berhin, makes it possible to fit almost 100 people in a very creative pattern.
Company Jernhusen, owner the Swedish railway stations is not new to Green Furniture and to sustainable design within their network of Swedish train stations, as you can read in our previous blog post featuring The Grand Hall of Stockholm Central Station. On that occasion the client Jernhusen said “Green Furniture’s ability to combine sustainable design, functionality and durability within a public environment is why we chose them for Stockholm Central Station”, says Cajsa Lindgårdh, market communicator at Jernhusen. We also have good experiences of Green Furniture from one of our smaller waiting rooms at Stockholm that they furnished in the autumn 2012, delivering very good results and high satisfaction to our travellers”.
