Pick of the day from Salone Satellite: Made in Ch-I-Taly

“Made in Ch-I-Taly”  is a collection of table and stools designed and manufactured between Chile and Italy by Italian designer Stefano Pugliese. After graduating at the Politecnico in Milan, Stefano moved to Chile for his MA degree. While there he worked as a lecturer in interior design, construction, history and theory of design and at the same time started his own business, focusing on designing and manufacturing furniture for both homes and offices.

These design pieces are the result of a formal exercise that explores the mechanical and aesthetic value of plywood in combination with black RAYSTONE, an eco-material, a 100% organic petrol-free bio composite board, produced from the waste of sugar production. How “sweet”!

Through digital controlled cutting technology and simple finishing hand work, the project seeks to deliver different solutions starting from a single type of joint. Simple and yet captivating collection.
